I personally, don’t think that banks should charge customers for using debit cards. These are the same people who worked so hard to give people a more convenient way of paying for things and now they want to take it away. Debit cards are a direct link to the funds in your checking account so there should be no charge. I could understand if they wanted to charge for writing a check but not so much. It just doesn’t make much sense.

I think that there has to be some compromise. If this is what has to happen for banks to survive then maybe we have to adapt these changes.
