El Camino de Santiago: The Way of St. James

This is my first time doing the Camino. The first time I did the Portuguese Camino which is a lot shorter. This one is the French camino which takes 6 weeks to complete. I could only do five days this time and I was injured. I plan to finish it over the years.

College Smart: Healthy Student, Healthy Life

What I am grateful for: My parents as far as I know were faithful to each other. They believed in marriage and family. I gained a lot from that. They just celebrated 52 years of marriage.

What I learned this week
I made the right choice not to get married up until now. I have truly enjoyed my freedom.

The Living Smart episode “Healthy Mom, Healthy Child: Creating Whole Families from the Inside Out,” airs Sunday May 15th at 3 p.m. on HoustonPBS and repeats friday night May 20th at 10pm. This episode features Elizabeth Irvine, yoga instructor and author, former ICU nurse, and health care professional with over twenty-five years of experience. Irvine discusses how to create a balanced lifestyle that incorporates an integrative approach to great health, meaning focusing on diet, exercise and breathing, sleep, proper relaxation, meditation and positive thinking. Through her twenty-five years of experience, Irvine has gained a deep passion for integrative health education.

In this episode of College Smart, reporter Cassady Lance asks students at the University of Houston Recreation Center how they stay healthy. Shooter and Editor Matthew Hayes catches all the action.

College Smart is a student-run promotional web series for Living Smart with Patricia Gras, featuring Emmy award-winning journalist Patricia Gras. The series is filmed independently from the show.
